Looking for Love?

This question reminds me of that ole country song by Waylon Jennings. The chorus goes something like this..."Looking for love in all the wrong places, looking for love in too many faces..."

I am certain each one of us knows someone who is questioning True Love; what it looks like, where it comes from, what ever happened to it, etc. It's easy for us, as imperfect people, to get our wires crossed. The world tells us love is easy, fast, short-lived (you win some, you loose some mind set), can be bought at a price, etc. Scary! As it turns out, the worlds definition/example of love is temporary and unfulfilling; not to mention exhausting.

For those of us who have an intimate relationship with Christ know that True Love, Perfect Love, comes only from Him. His love is intense, benevolent, kind, tender,...(drum roll please)...unconditional and everlasting.

1 Corinthians 13 confirms that...
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.

My prayer, above all else, is for His Love to be sought and embraced by all who seek Truth. If you know someone who has steered away from Him, please be quick to help lead &/or pray them back towards our Beloved Redeemer.
