Training & Dicipline...

Two of my least favorite words. I say this because it takes time and effort.  Sometimes, lots of it!!  To be trained at doing something new, and disciplined to do it, requires us to look within ourselves...digging deep.  Not always fun, but often times the most rewarding.

Many times in scripture Jesus would break away from the crowds of people, find a quiet place; like the mountainside, and pray to His Father in solitude. He could have stayed among the people; teaching, performing miracles, but he didn't.  He needed to "check in" with God.  Of Jesus' many prayers, only a few are actually recorded in scripture. In the gospel of John, we are made privy to one of Jesus' prayers to God. Did you know that Jesus prayed for us specifically?

John 17:11 says, "...Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name - the name you gave me - so that they may be one as we are one."

Wherever we are, doing whatever it is that needs to get done; errands, housekeeping, bill paying, working, traveling, etc.  HE wants to be "one" with you.  Hallelujah! Enjoy His presence today.
