February 1st & 15th Scripture Memorization

I'm taking the bull by the horns!  Tuesday was the first day of February.  A lot, too much in fact, happened on Monday, the 31st.  Darts came flying at me from every direction and my faith was shaken.  First, I had to recognize the source.  It took me much of the evening and night to regain my stance.  By morning I was restored and the good Lord gave me my February 1st scripture to memorize. HE is mighty to save!!!

(I personalized it by in a more persontaking words like 'you' and 'your' and changing them to 'me', 'my' and 'I'.  I feel this applies the Word into our thought-life in a more personal way.  Case in point!)

Here goes...

Ephesians 3:18-19 (NIV)
"16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen me with power through his Spirit in my inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith.  And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Feel free to post your scripture of choice under 'Comments'.  Together we will hold our minds captive to the Living Word of God. In Jesus' name. Amen.

  1. These 3 scripture references from Romans were referenced in my 1 Peter bible study today. And they have remained on my mind all day long.

    Romans 8:18 (New King James Version)
    For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

    Romans 8:28 (New King James Version)
    And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

    Romans 8:31, 35-39 (New King James Version)
    What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
    As it is written:

    “ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
    We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”[a]

    Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
